Dans la lignée de mon triptyque Pokemon, j'ai décidé cette fois-ci de représenter Stitch, en conservant sa couleur dominante.

Following my Pokemon triptych, I decided this time to make Stitch, keeping only his main color.

Disturbed balance

Pour ce projet, un client m'a soumis un design qu'il souhaitait que je retranscrive en volume.

J'ai ainsi retravaillé le design en partant de son esquisse avant de valider le rendu.

For this project, a client submitted me a design he wanted me to make in volume.
I then tweaked the design from his sketch before I went on the assembly.

J'ai ensuite imprimé chaque symbole individuellement sur un papier de couleur avant d'attaquer la fabrication.

I then printed each symbol on its corresponding colored paper before I started making them.

Le client souhaitait que chaque symbole soit entouré d'un fin carré correspondant à sa couleur. 

Cette partie fût la plus délicate dans la mesure où chaque trait mesure 1mm de hauteur et qu'il fallait conserver un alignement le plus droit possible.

C'est également la première fois que j'utilise un tableau comme support.

The client wanted each symbol to have a thin square around it. This was the trickiest part of the assembly as each stroke is 1mm thin and I had to make the whole piece stay in the same alignment.

It's also the first time I use a canvas as a stand.

Childhood dilemma

Pour ce projet, j'ai décidé de retourner en enfance et de réaliser un cadre comprenant 3 figures symboliques du dilemme le plus traumatisant d'une grande partie des enfants des années 90, je parle bien sûr des 3 starters de.. POKEMON. 
J'ai utilisé cette fois-ci un papier de couleur avec un touché très doux et une texture à aspect recyclé qui m'a beaucoup plu.

For this project, I decided to bring my inner child out and make a frame including 3 of the major influences from 90's kids' childhood dilemma. I'm of course talking about.. POKEMON starters.
I used a colored paper this time with a very soft touch and a recycled texture I liked a lot.

La réalisation a été assez délicate dans la mesure où les pièces sont très détaillés pour leur taille, notamment au niveau de la flamme de la queue de Salamèche et la main gauche de Carapuce. 
Au final le résultat offre un rendu encore plus impressionnant que celui que j'attendais.

The assembly was pretty tricky as the pieces are very detailed for their size, especially for Charmander's tail and Squirtle's left hand.
In the end, it looked even better than what I pictured.

Stag trophy - feat Mademoisellebox

Dans la lignée de mes cadres en relief, je suis fier de vous présenter mon dernier travail. J'ai la chance d'être l'invité Do it Youself du mois de Septembre avec Mademoisellebox (je vous laisse regarder par vous-même le concept sur leur site). 
Au sein de plusieurs accessoires et autres goodies présent dans la box Colonel Moutarde,  je vous accompagne ainsi à l'aide d'un petit guide pour réaliser votre propre cadre, arborant un superbe cerf en relief aux couleurs de la box de ce mois-ci, bleu marine et jaune moutarde.

Following my work on relief frames, I'm proud to introduce you to my latest work. I had the chance to be invited by Mademoisellebox to make the Do it Yourself for the month of september. 
Among others accessories and goodies in the Colonel Mustard box, I'll guide you to make your own frame, with a majestic stag displaying this month colors, blue and yellow.

Je vous avertis, la construction est délicate et va demander patience et minutie. 
Avec la bonne dose de concentration et la bonne tasse de thé pour vous accompagner, le résultat final en vaudra la peine. Après tout un trophée, ça se mérite ;).

I warn you, the assembly is tricky and requires patience and  meticulousness.
With the right amount of concentration and the right cup of tea to assist you, the result will be worthy. After all, you got to deserve that trophy ;)

Première collaboration et très bonne expérience. 
C'est la première fois que j'utilise de la couleur pour réaliser un cadre et je dois dire que le résultat est très intéressant. On perd un peu l'aspect polygonal de la sculpture mais on y gagne un habillage plus élégant, il ne reste plus désormais qu'à trouver le moyen d'associer le meilleurs des deux.

First collaboration and great experience.
This is the first time I use colors to make a frame and I've to say the result looks really promising. The polygonal aspect is less visible but the whole sculpture gets nicely dressed with an elegant design. Now I just have to find a way to get the best of the two.

Hummingbird

Pour ce nouveau projet, j'avais envie d'incorporer un nouvel élément dans mes sculptures. En effet, je voulais faire un essai de gravure et voir les possibilités que cela pouvait m'ouvrir. 
J'ai ainsi réalisé un colibri en relief et tracé une fleur sur le verso de la feuille, de sorte à ce qu'elle apparaisse en relief sur le recto.

For this new project, I wanted to add something new to my sculptures. I wanted to trace and score an image on the paper and see what possibilities it would bring to me. So, I made a hummingbird and scored a flower on the back of the paper so it would appear in relief on the other side.
